BINDING WORDS

"...let your Yes be Yes, and your No, No. For whatever is more than these is from the evil one." Matthew 5:37.

I run across so many people who will promise you the moon, but will not follow through with what they have said. We see in this scripture a very profound thought, Honesty & Integrity in speech & in life. There is a call here for Christians to be truthful in their speech. Whatever you say you are going to do, you must do it. A person's word should be their "BOND", & their "yes"or "no" should be accepted as a definite answer, a thing that you can,"Take to the Bank". There is no place in your life for,  "maybe", such words pass-off a decision & there is no accountability in them at all, this is a, "more than these" words.
